The LQQK Fête

at the Counting Room to Benefit José Rivera Jr.

Photography by Pablo Calderón-Santiago

The Neighbors linked up with frequent collaborator José Rivera Jr., a queer Latinx recording and visual artsit, to raise funds for their visual EP, LQQK, The Way I Look.

The project challenges stereotypes of masculinity and the illusion of "fitting in" through exploration of metamorphose as style, still and moving image, dance and music to help the world move toward a queer future for all. The event brought together musicians, singers, dancers, DJs and multi-media creatives for a queer extravangza.

Featuring performances by Bree Breeden, Cesar Gonzalez, Sarah Hartshorne, Sarah Jabbari, Kathleen Kelley, Pepper Levian, Proteo Media, Benedict Nguyen, Christina Ramos, José Rivera Jr., Karl Ronneburg and DJ TRx.
