Dogs of DC: The Road Ahead

What Will The Neighbors Say? partnered with The Living Gallery for a benefit gala performance of "Dogs of D.C. - A Political Farce" for Planned Parenthood Texas and the El Puente on January 19th at 7pm. The show was first written and directed by James Clements in 2014, and this remount was part of a larger evening of perfomance, refreshments, and fundrasing entitled "Dogs of D.C. - The Road Ahead" designed to provoke conversation and raise funds for these crucial organizations in this uncertain political time. This event was held at The Living Gallery, located at 1094 Broadway, Brooklyn, New York. 

In addition to our performance of "Dogs of D.C." (written and directed by James Clements, and also featuring Sam Hood Adrain, Tayi Sanusi and Thomas Skea), Amy León performed poetry and music, local Brooklyn performance artist G.J. Downing presented an excerpt from a solo show, and a very special Inauguration bouffon with Yvette Lu, Ana Cristina Schuler and Leanne Velednitsky was shared.

Raffle prizes included three prints from artist Colin Cochrane, signed original performance photographs from dancer Paul Langlan
d, a photoshoot with Brooklyn-based photographer Pablo Calderón, month-long memberships at Bar Method Brooklyn and Orangetheory,  signed books from Ann Hood and Michael Rulhman, original art by Nyssa Frank, gift certificates from Brooklyn bars Bonus Room and the Bodega Wine Bar, as well as an exclusive signed gift package from actor, writer and activist Alan Cumming.
